Greenland 2003 Expedition
Two Finns from Tampere, Petri Mäkelä and Petri Vuorenmaa have crossed the ice cap of Greenland. The route they took was the one and only original route planned by Fridtjof Nansen 115 years ago. This third purely finnish expedition travelled from Tasiilaq (Angmassalik) to Qasigiànquit (Christianshåb). Only 16 Finns have crossed the ice cap by skis before this journey.
